General Quilting Information

1. We use a hand guided Gammill quilting machine which allows for creativity in styling and design.
2. Each quilt is treated with tender loving care and consideration.

Item Description
Basting We will baste your quilt in rows 4 inches apart. This is for those who want to hand quilt.
Basic All Over This is the simplest and most popular choice. It's also the least expensive. It consist of rows of continuous quilting designs that go from one edge of the quilt to the other.
Advanced All Over This includes more intricate designs such as fancy flowers, leaves or meandering. It consist of rows of continuous quilting designs that go from one edge of the quilt to the other.
Custom This includes individualized designs that are designed to enhance your quilt's overall appearance such as outlining individual pieced blocks, stippling in the background, and selectively placed block designs or extremely intricate designs.
Artistic Custom This allows you complete freedom to customize your quilt with designs, motifs, stitch-in-the-ditch, outlining, or a combination of designs and patterns.
Thread We use 100% cotton thread on the top and bottom of your quilts. We charge $2.00 per thread color change.
Quilt Preparation Have your quilt top & backing washed (if needed) & pressed. Mark the top (right side) of both with a safety pin.
Backing We prefer you supply the backing. The backing must be at least 4" wider and 4" longer than your quilt top on all sides to allow for stretching the quilt in the frame. We will supply the backing for an additional charge.
Batting We prefer to supply the batting. We use both Hobb's Heirloom (80% cotton & 20% polyester) or 100% polyester batting. If you supply the batting it must be at least 4" wider and 4" longer than your quilt top on all sides to allow for stretching the quilt in the frame. We will not quilt with Mountain Mist batting.
Quilting Prices Quilting prices are based on batting size and do not include the cost of backing, batting or binding. There will be an additional $10. per item charge if we need to press, square up the top or back, or repair seams prior to quilting.
Binding We will bind your quilt for an additional charge of .25 per linear inch.
Completion Times Completion times vary according to the number of quilts we have ahead of you. If you have an emergency order there is a $50 additional charge. We will do what we can to finish your quilt in the time estimated.
Guarantee While we all know that quilting can hide many imperfections, we cannot guarantee that any fullness in your quilt top will be quilted out. We will strive to help make your finished quilt the best it can be.
Insurance & Shipping We usually use UPS or Priority Mail and the cost is around $10. per quilt.
